We’re already a quarter of the way through 2022, and the construction scene in South Florida has only continued to ramp up.
If you’re ready to jump in with a new project – be that an office renovation or brand-new build from the ground up – we’re here to offer some tips for getting your project started on the right foot.
- Tip #1: Don’t rush the planning – A commercial construction project is not something you want to rush. Make sure those investment dollars are used wisely and effectively by being strategic with your decisions and collaborating with experienced construction professionals from Day 1.
- Tip #2: Be selective with your location – Decisions about the building itself is one thing, but selecting the location is a whole other factor you need to consider when it comes to your project. For help evaluating the merits of several different SoFla locations, be sure to read this post.
- Tip #3: Hire a local and highly experienced contractor – Building in Florida is not like building elsewhere in the country. Interview several general contractors who are local to the area before ultimately deciding which experienced team is right for your project.
- Tip #4: Just start – While the climb ahead may look daunting, the time is now if you want to take on a project in SoFla. With high demand and tough competition for supply, you may have to readjust your timeline expectations, but that shouldn’t hinder you from pursuing the project.
