At Seacoast Construction, we rely on our deep network of local subcontractors when selecting a team for each new project we undertake. We also consistently re-evaluate their work to make sure they’re maintaining top performance. Here are some of the critical qualities we prioritize when selecting a subcontractor:

Ability

First and foremost, they have to be good at what they do. This means being able to successfully navigate multiple projects, if applicable; maintain solid communication; and skillfully execute the task at hand. Experience also plays an important role in how well the subcontractor can maximize its resources to ensure the project stays on track and on budget.

Integrity

Being honest and upfront about what the subcontractor can and can’t commit to is an important quality to consider. Are they fair and truthful in providing the highest quality of work, and do they adhere to and comply with industry standards and best practices? If there’s one thing you can’t compromise on, it’s integrity.

Fit

One size doesn’t fit all when it comes to commercial projects and subcontractors. When evaluating potential subs for our projects, we always compare a subcontractor’s experience and abilities with our project’s requirements. Sometimes even the best subcontractors might not be the best match for the job at hand.
