These timeline hindrances can prove challenging for inexperienced contractors who aren’t adequately planning ahead or considering alternative options. Moreover, they likely don’t have the same connections and relationships more tenured GCs have.
Due to construction material supply chain issues today, not everything is like it once was. Mechanical materials, which used to be 20 weeks, are now taking about 10-12 weeks to secure. Other items like steel are still hard to get. The same is true for concrete. If you need to order concrete for your project, you must do it way in advance.
